Born AI-first
When applied AI was still rare among local companies, UEBB was born vertical on Artificial Intelligence: models, data and infrastructure first. The name already said it: UEBB Artificial Intelligence.

LIUC – Università Cattaneo · GA.IA, the UEBB supply chain engine
About us · Varese, since 2021
UEBB was founded in 2021 in Varese as UEBB Artificial Intelligence, with one clear idea: bring Artificial Intelligence where it really matters — production, plants, quality, safety, medicine. It is led by Giacomo De Benedetto, founder and CEO, who teaches AI at the University of Insubria and brought it to the lecture hall at LIUC.

The founder
Founder & CEO
“I founded UEBB Artificial Intelligence to bring AI where it really matters: production planning, plant reliability, in-line quality, safety and medicine.”
Giacomo regularly teaches at the University of Insubria — from Big Data and HPC infrastructures to the NVIDIA ecosystem — and was invited to LIUC – Università Cattaneo to speak about Artificial Intelligence in the supply chain, with GA.IA as a concrete case.
He has contributed to AI-based satellite image analysis projects, the subject of publications and numerous citations, and today works on medical imaging projects with Artificial Intelligence.
With UEBB he helps companies and SMBs forecast demand, schedule with real constraints, run predictive maintenance, integrate PLC, ERP and MES systems, and build operational co-pilots that cut time and errors. He also personally follows the regulatory side: the EU AI Act and AI governance are part of the method, not an attachment.
Areas of expertise
The team
Alongside Giacomo works a team of in-house developers, each one vertical on their own technology: from machine learning to embedded systems, from backend to industrial integrations, from cloud to cybersecurity. Everything in-house: the people who design are the people who build, and they stay by your side after the release.
The story
When applied AI was still rare among local companies, UEBB was born vertical on Artificial Intelligence: models, data and infrastructure first. The name already said it: UEBB Artificial Intelligence.
The courses at Insubria and the invitation to LIUC come from the same conviction: you only truly understand AI when you put it into production. That is where GA.IA comes from — the supply chain engine integrating nine machine learning models, from demand forecasting to defect classification — together with membership in the NVIDIA Inception program.
Today UEBB covers everything AI needs to actually work in a company: software development, cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cybersecurity with Sophos (Silver Partner), backup and data resilience with Veeam (Cloud & Service Provider), UEBB Drive for data that must never leave home, and EU AI Act compliance. Still from Varese, Via M.V. Staurenghi 34.
In the lecture hall
Giacomo De Benedetto regularly teaches at the University of Insubria and has been a guest lecturer at LIUC – Università Cattaneo. Four lectures, in chronological order, with the topics of the original slides.

A study carried out for Not Just Analytics: how to automatically classify the content of Instagram profiles by combining computer vision and language analysis.

18 slides
From Hadoop, Spark and Airflow to HPC architectures: CPU vs GPU, CUDA and CUDA-X, cuDNN, NVIDIA Nsight and Triton Inference Server, distributed training with PyTorch DDP and NCCL, up to Databricks.

12 slides
Demand forecasting, scheduling with real constraints, warehousing, quality control with computer vision, predictive maintenance, logistics and risk control towers: where AI delivers measurable benefits.

Nine models in a single platform: LSTM for time series (94.5%), Prophet + XGBoost ensemble (96.6%), Isolation Forest, K-Means + UMAP, DistilBERT, Random Forest (>90%). In the demo: forecast errors −18%, on-time delivery +15%, response times −25%.
