A platform we run checks servers, networks and services at all hours, nights and holidays included. When something goes out of range an alert fires and, where possible, the fix is automated.

Immutable backups and disaster recovery with Veeam for VMware ESXi, Proxmox, cloud and Microsoft 365. A copy only counts if it restores, so we test the restore.

Frequently asked questions
About company cybersecurity
What is the difference between antivirus and EDR?
Antivirus looks for known threats. An EDR records what happens on computers and servers, spots suspicious behaviour and lets you isolate a machine. UEBB uses Sophos EDR, but on its own it is not enough: you also need a well-segmented network, separate backups and someone reading the alerts.
How does 24/7 monitoring work?
Servers, networks and services are connected to a platform run by UEBB, active 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When a value goes out of range an alert fires. Response times and procedures depend on the contract and, where possible, we automate the fix.
Does NIS2 apply to my company?
It depends on sector and size: in Italy, Legislative Decree 138/2024 mainly covers medium and large companies in the listed sectors, and the list of entities is managed by ACN. Companies outside it may still get similar requests from customers inside it. UEBB offers NIS2 support: we help you see where you stand and put the security measures in place. The legal assessment belongs to your adviser.
What does the Cyber Resilience Act change for machine and software makers?
If you make and sell products with digital elements, software included, since 11 September 2026 you must report actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe incidents. The main obligations apply from 11 December 2027. As a software house, UEBB can work on the code too, not just the network.
Do you rebuild company networks too?
Yes. We design and install complete networks with Ubiquiti, Cisco, Meraki and HPE Aruba equipment, together with firewalls, VPNs and segmentation.
Do you only work with Sophos and Ubiquiti?
No. UEBB is a Sophos Silver Partner, and also works with Fortinet and SonicWall firewalls and with Cisco, Meraki and HPE Aruba network equipment. We can start from what you already have, or choose with you what is worth installing.
Is a backup on an office NAS enough?
No. Ransomware that reaches the network can encrypt that NAS too. You need immutable, separate copies and regular restore tests. With Veeam we protect VMware ESXi and Proxmox environments, cloud workloads and Microsoft 365.
Do you offer penetration testing?
Yes. UEBB simulates an attack to find the weak spots before someone else does and tells you what to fix and in what order. As a software house, we can work on the code too.
How far can you work?
Monitoring and management work remotely, anywhere. Networks and installations are done on site: UEBB is based in Varese and works across the province, in Milan, Turin, Lugano and Zurich, and follows clients’ plants worldwide, as far as Bulgaria.
