What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's browser, where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites on the next visit. The same rules apply to similar tools, such as the browser's local storage and session storage, which this site uses instead of some cookies. This Cookie Policy follows the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools (decision of 10 June 2021) and Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Italian Privacy Code).

Technical cookies and storage (necessary)

Strictly necessary for the operation of the website and the delivery of the service requested by the user. Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code they do not require prior consent. The site uses no profiling cookies and no third-party content that would set any: even the map on the Contact page is an image served by our own server.

Third-party analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to measure aggregated site usage. These cookies are set only after consent is given in the banner: without consent, the Google Analytics script is not even loaded. Our configuration: Google Signals off, ad personalisation off, user-level and event-level data retention of 14 months. GA4 does not log or store visitors' IP addresses.

Transfers of data outside the European Union

Data collected via Google Analytics 4 may be transferred to Google LLC, based in the United States of America. The transfer takes place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023), in which Google participates, and secondarily under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR). The Data Privacy Framework is in force: the General Court of the EU confirmed its validity on 3 September 2025 (case T-553/23) and the appeal before the Court of Justice (case C-703/25 P) is pending.

Consent record

Under the accountability principle (Articles 5.2 and 7.1 GDPR), every choice made in the banner (acceptance, refusal or customisation) is recorded in two ways: in your browser (local storage), with the date and the policy version, and in the Controller's server logs in minimised form: UTC date and time, the choice, the policy version and a technical identifier obtained by applying a SHA-256 hash with a secret key to the IP address and user agent. The IP address is never stored in clear; the identifier is pseudonymised data, linkable to the device only by someone holding both the key and the original address. The logs are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically, and used only as evidence in case of a dispute.
